How we handle the personal data you give us through this website, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018.

What data we process and why

When you write to us by email or on WhatsApp, or call us by phone, we process the data you give us in that communication (such as your name, phone number, email address and the content of your message). We use it to answer your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange an appointment.

We recommend that you do not include detailed health information in your messages. If you choose to, we will process it with your explicit consent and only to reply to you.

Legal basis

Your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), given by contacting us on your own initiative, and your explicit consent for any health data you provide voluntarily (art. 9.2.a GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

Recipients

We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law. To provide the service we rely on providers acting as processors: Cloudflare, Inc. (website hosting and forwarding of the clinic’s email) and Google (the email service where we receive messages). If you contact us on WhatsApp, Meta also processes your data under its own terms.

International transfers

These providers are based in the United States. Transfers are made with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep the data while we deal with your enquiry and afterwards for as long as needed to address possible legal liabilities. If a care relationship begins, clinical records are kept in accordance with health legislation.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to info@institutdermatologicvilanova.com and stating which right you are exercising. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Minors

This website is intended for people aged 14 or over. If you are younger, please contact us through a parent or guardian.

Google fonts

This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts, so your IP address is sent to Google when you visit. More information in the cookie policy.
